- Fantastic location12/08/2009 - 1:30pm12/08/2009
We booked 'The Point' The day before we stayed. My partner and I were taking the scenic route from Sydney to Melbourne and decided to break the drive by staying in Merimbula. I have been to Merimbula before and knew of Merimbula Beach Holiday Park but had never stayed there. We arrived late and checked in at about 6:30pm, which was unfortunate had we known how amazing the views were going to be from 'The Point' as we had just driven through the sunset. The first thing that hit us was how lovely and private 'The Point' was as caravan parks can be quite open. The set out of these getaway cabins is such that everyone has their own private space. After dinner in Merimbula we then relaxed into one of the most amazing spas we have ever had in a getaway destination. The spa has a window with an electric shutter on the outside. It is set-up in such a way that you can be in the spa right next to the window and still retain your privacy. From the window we had beautiful views over the beach and the next headland. The next morning we were determined to get up early and watch the sunrise. This we were able to do from the comfort of our bed, and it was spectacular. The view from this cabin is absolutely priceless and with our RACV membership we paid $135.00 for the nights stay. This is unbelievable value, as my partner and I have been on many getaways and paid more than triple this price for places not even half as good. To top all of this off we were having coffee's on the balcony admiring the view when a dolphin swam past around the headland right along the shore. Locations do not get any cheaper, any more beautiful, or romantic than this at a price that is clearly unbeatable. The staff were lovely and easy to talk to, with a wealth of information about the local area. We even took a turn off on the advice of the staff at the park for a more scenic route to Merimbula on the way. There's one thing we can definitely say about our stay at Merimbula Beach Holiday Park is that we will definitely be back and we already can't wait! Kind Regards Matt Preston.

To the Management and Staff at Merimbula Beach Holiday Resort, I am currently staying at your holiday park, and thought I would like to take the time to pass on some positive feedback and appreciation of how well run the resort is. My daughter, Maddison and I have stayed at the resort three times over the past two years and on each occasion we have been made to feel extremely welcome and well informed. The front office staff are super friendly, warm and efficient and that really paves the way for a memorable stay. The facilities are really well maintained, both the cleaners and maintenance clearly show attention to detail and genuinely care about what they are doing. The accommodation is always immaculate, even the kitchen utensils and bathrooms are so clean (I even had to touch the shower screen as I wasn't sure if there was one!). Maddison really loves the kids club and jumping pillow, and clearly feels comfortable in Brett's company. It was a pleasure to see him here after two years and evidently still taking great pride in what he is doing. During our current visit, Maddison is the only child (no doubt due to the time of the year and weather), but Brett has still made her feel welcome and made an extra effort to ensure she has a memorable stay. We have travelled extensively both within Australia and overseas, and so I truly feel that we can provide you with genuine feedback, based on many comparisons. Thanks so much for the great job you are all doing, we look forward to planning our next stay and will certainly be recommending that everyone we know makes plans to stay here also. Kind Regards, Carre and Maddison.

Wow is all we said when we ventured into merimbula beach park....24/7 of ocean sounds, fun filled days ahead for the boys.
The cabin we had was sensational. The views I wished I could have bottled them up and taken them home with me. Am home now and am missing the sounds of the ocean that we had 24/7
Our three older boys loved the kids club.....the third one kept commenting on how beautiful the ocen was and how much the trampoline pillow was. Not too mention all the new friends they both made along the way.
Tennis.....tennis and more tenniis....ouch mum said after the third day....
Will definately be coming back for more next year!!
Thanks Merimbula Park and kids club carers for such a great time spent there.
regards

The park is amazing. Where do i start. We booked for the easter long weekend, coming from Orange NSW which is well inland, we had a 7 hr drive ahead of us (9 hours with traffic). We embarked on our journey with 2 cars and 6 people. We were wondering if it was going to be worth it but as we pulled up we realised it was. There was a traffic director in the carpark who told us exactly what we needed to do to check in. So we parked up and got our information from the office.
After finding our site we realised it was alot bigger than we had thought it would be. More than enough room to park our 2 cars and 10 man tent with atleast room for 1 more tent or 2 more cars (whoever told me on the phone it would be impossible to fit 2 cars on a site needs to find a car smaller than a greyhound coach.) We were very close to the amenities block (after looking at the map and the amount of amenities blocks there are, i feel everyone was).
2 pools was a big wow factor for me, a resort style pool and a lap pool. Although we were right next to the lap pool we always went to the resort pool. Which had free live music provided for easter sunday. That is above and beyond right there.
The only down side to the trip were the numerous noise warnings from security guards on a power trip. We received a noise warning on the first night we stayed which i took on the chin as we were being a bit loud, and kept our voices down after 10pm for the rest of the trip, however we received another one the following night after someone in our tent was "hiccuping too loud" and were warned this was our final warning before we would be asked to leave. I can't help but get the feeling we were being unfairly targeted due to both being on our P plates, as there was a big group of about 20 people directly across from us making just as much (probably) more noise than us, who told us they hadn't received one warning, they also felt we were being unfairly targeted.
All in all, night security aside, the trip was awesome, and will definately be returning again (wont be camping, will be getting "The Beach House" instead).

What a fantastic park!! We had a very enjoyable 6 night stay during February and have no doubt that we will be returning again next year. Our 2 year old son had the time of his life on the playground equipment and the kiddies pool. He has'nt stopped talking about how he got his face painted at the Kidz Corner Morning Activities - what a brillant idea! The amenities, grounds and BBQ areas were all top class. Highly recommended :-)
